The classic copper alembic still is a time-tested Portuguese distiller for crafting premium spirits at home. Each unit is hand-forged by Portuguese artisans from the purest copper (99.9%) using safe, lead-free soldering. This is the gold standard of traditional distillation, featuring a shape trusted by the world's finest cognac and whiskey distilleries.
Effective purification: The unique onion-shaped helmet acts as a natural air dephlegmator. It gently cools the vapor, forcing heavy fusel oils to flow back into the distillation pot.
Unmatched smoothness: Extensive contact with the copper helps precipitate sulfur compounds. This eliminates harsh odors and ensures the smoothest possible distillate.
Perfect aroma: Only the purest, lightest, and most aromatic alcohol vapors travel through the vapor pipe (swan neck) and into the condenser.
The still's design maximizes the retention of natural aromas from fruit, berry, and grain mashes. With this home distiller, you can produce a wide variety of beverages:
Grain masterpieces: Homemade whiskey, bourbon, and traditional polugar.
Fruit and grape brandies: Authentic cognac, armagnac, calvados, schnapps, chacha, grappa, and pisco.
Non-alcoholic products: Distilled water and natural floral hydrosols (essential waters).
The apparatus features a reliable, straightforward design. The ready-to-use kit includes everything you need to start distilling right away:
Distillation pot (boiler) — a highly durable vessel for heating the mash.
Copper helmet (onion) — the traditional element designed for vapor purification.
Vapor pipe (swan neck) — a connecting tube to transfer the purified vapors.
Condenser with a cooling coil — a receiving vessel for condensing the final product.
